Chaffee County United's competitive soccer program is designed for advancing and motivated players in U13 to U19 age groups. Development of our players in their teens happens within a challenging and fun league. Therefore, if a player is not 'advanced', yet still has the desire and commitment to be on the team, then they are welcome. The club draws on all players from within Chaffee County as well as surrounding areas. All competitive teams are 'traveling teams'. Game locations include Denver, Pueblo, Boulder, and other communities with competitive teams or tournaments. It is great fun that is unforgettable to the players and their families!
Basic Information
Competitive teams typically practice 3 x per week, alternating between Salida and Buena Vista.
Spring practices usually start in late February (start indoors, then outdoors).
Spring games typically start in late March and the season includes 9-10 games.
Fall practices usually start in mid-August and games begin in late August.
Away games are located throughout the state, including Denver and Colorado Springs.
Try-outs for competitive soccer happen two weeks after the completion of the spring or fall season.
